At least once a year, your pet companion should be seen by a veterinarian for a full physical exam. This is usually completed when vaccinations are due.
At our clinic the exam will consist of a health check from head to tail. Teeth and gums are examined, ears are checked, and internal organs are listened to or palpated. Your pet will be checked for fleas and ticks, as well as the presence of any skin issues. Usually, we will monitor your pet's weight and discuss any nutritional problems we encounter.
If there are any problems found our Doctors will discuss possible testing and treatment options and work to find a plan that you and they think is appropriate. We are your pet companion's advocate and will suggest the best plan for your pet. However, we work with you to make a treatment plan that fits for you as well.
If you are new to our clinic, please bring any medical history on your pet you may have to your first visit. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, please share it with our team. Our Dr's and Tech's can use all the information you have.
If we find issues that require more specialized care, we have a group of Board Certified Specialists that we can use to treat your pet's conditions.
Please give us a call if you have any questions.
