Teri Kirchner

Teri (Theresa) has been an invaluable member of the West Salem Veterinary Clinic medical care team since 1984.  Teri is a senior receptionist and the WSVC inventory manager.   As a receptionist, she provides excellent customer service by scheduling appointments for clients, answering basic health care questions, greeting clients and patients as they enter, checking in patients upon arrival and checking them out at departure.

As the WSVC inventory manager, she is the go-to person for product needs.  She makes sure that we have the supplies and products that our medical care team requires to provide excellent health care for our patients, as well as the products our clients need to use on their pets at home to maintain optimal health.

Teri and her husband Steve have been married for over 40 years.  She has three children and four wonderful grandchildren:  Hayley, Alyssa, Colton, and Audrey.  She likes to relax with a good book and watch her favorite teams, the Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.  She also enjoys attending the grandkids’ basketball, softball, volleyball, and baseball games.

Danielle Brown-Gilbertson

Danielle Brown-Gilbertson has been a star receptionist and office staff member with the West Salem Veterinary Clinic since November of 2004.  She graduated from Onalaska Luther High School and then attended WTC and graduated with an associate degree in human resources-business administration.

Danielle lives in West Salem with her husband Corey, stepdaughter Lexi, daughter McCarran, son Brooks. She has one adorable sealpoint siamese “Nataleigh.”

For fun, Danielle loves watching her Milwaukee Brewers and New Orleans Saints.  She also loves to play golf and spending time with her entire family.  “I adore my family. There isn’t anything more important to me then them.  I love dressing McCarran in all kinds of pinks, purples, and crazy headbands. Also, watching Lexi play high school sports is another love of mine.  I love my life and everyone in it!”

Kimberly Sullivan

Kim graduated from Madison Area Technical College with a degree in Photography and Small Business in 2008.  After graduation, she relocated to La Crosse area with her husband, Ryan. In March of 2010, Kim joined West Salem Veterinary Clinic as a receptionist and customer service representative. She has become a valuable member of our team, offering great customer service and handling much of our photography.  Over the years, Kim has really enjoyed getting to know our clients and their ‘kids’.

Kim spends most of her free time raising their daughter Riley.  She also has a small photography business, KS Photography, which keeps her busy on weekends shooting weddings, senior portraits, or family portraits.  Besides photography, Kim enjoys riding their tandem bike with Ryan on the local trails.

Kelly Wehrs

Kelly Wehrs is West Salem Veterinary Clinic’s talented Pet Groomer.  Kelly graduated from Reedsburg Webb High School in 1986 and then attended and graduated from La Crosse School of Beauty as a state Licensed Cosmetologist Hair Dresser.  Kelly has always had a great interest in dog grooming.  Over the years, she has groomed and shoed horses, cattle, llamas, sheep, goats, and dogs with her twin daughters.  In 2004 she started grooming at West Salem Veterinary Clinic.

Kelly takes great pride in her work as WSVC’s Pet Groomer.  She loves to be with the animals and make a difference in their lives.  As a groomer, Kelly gives baths, cuts hair, trims nails, cleans ears and expresses anal glands—all with extra added TLC.  She takes her time with each animal to give them the care that they need.

Kelly is married to Barry and has twin daughters, Desiree and Daphne.  She is now a proud grandmother of Waycee.

Kelly and Barry live on a hobby farm in Sparta called “The Funny Farm”. They have horses, fainting goats, llamas, a donkey, peacocks and pheasants.  They have two dogs and three cats and a huge Macaw bird in the house.

Kelly does not have a lot of spare time, but if she has any she likes to camp, swim, fish and hunt, ride horses as much as possible, and walk in her flower beds.

Trinity Drugg

Trinity joined West Salem Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary technician in February 2013.  She and her husband, Kane, had recently moved to the area from Madison, WI. Trinity has worked in the veterinary field for almost 10 years before joining us, so she brings a wealth of excellent experience.  Trinity has completed some courses in Veterinary Technology and has attended continuing education seminars annually for the past 7 years in Madison.  She has found that anesthesia and surgical procedures are some of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine.  Her previous work experience has been primarily with small animals, but she is very excited to now be part of a mixed animal practice here at West Salem Veterinary Clinic.

Trinity and Kane have two wonderful boys, Kyron (11) and Rush (6 months) who keep them very busy. They also have a dog, Doug (a Labrador) that makes their family complete.  Trinity would love to have a little hobby farm one day if her husband would let her!

When she is not working, Trinity enjoys being outdoors biking, hiking, playing Ultimate Frisbee and spending time with her boys.  She and her family are HUGE sports fans and try to attend as many games as possible.  Her absolute favorite thing to do is watch their oldest son play in any of his seasonal sporting events (baseball, football, and basketball.)  Family is the most important thing to Trinity and she is so excited to now be part of the West Salem Veterinary Clinic Family!  And we are thrilled to have her!

Carlie Scriver

Carlie graduated from Onalaska Luther High School in 2009.  She went on to study Animal Science with a veterinary technician emphasis at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, and finished there in 2012.  She continued her education at Globe University in La Crosse and received her Veterinary Technician degree in 2014.  Carlie went on to become certified in WI as a CVT in 2015.

We recruited Carlie to join us at West Salem Veterinary Clinic in March of 2013 as a veterinary assistant. When she graduated from Globe she began moved right into veterinary technician duties.  Carlie has a compassion for working with animals in treatment and surgery and helping them to rest comfortably while in the clinic.  She loves being in the animal care field because she gets to see a lot of different breeds of animals as well as the many different personalities among them.  Carlie has loved taking care of large and small animals since she was a little girl.  One of the greatest aspects of animal care for Carlie is seeing them live happy, healthy lives, and seeing them fully recover from any sickness or health problems.

When she is not working, Carlie likes to spend time on her family’s dairy farm hanging out with her cows, her family, and her husband, Jacob Scriver.  Some of their favorite things to do are fishing, hunting, and spending time out on the lake with Jacob’s family.  Carlie also loves to play the piano, softball, and volleyball.

Shannon Lamb

Shannon graduated from the Rochester Community and Technical College's Veterinary Technician Program with an Associate's Degree in 2014.  We have been fortunate to have Shannon working for the West Salem Veterinary Clinic since she graduated.  In 2015 Shannon took her WI Veterinary Technician Certification test and is now a CVT. Shannon is skilled at working with the doctors in the clinic, seeing and meeting their requests (almost before they ask) and helping them progress efficiently through the busy day.  She also works hard to give every patient kind words and gentle touches to make their experience at the West Salem Veterinary Clinic as pleasant as possible.

When Shannon is not working she likes to spend time outdoors and visiting with family and friends.  She also cares for her two "fur babies"; Manni, a 4 year old Dachshund, and Sasha, a 7 year old bull dog mix.

Devin Stetzer

Devin grew up West Salem and graduated from West Salem High School. She went on to receive a Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology and then became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2012. Devin would tell you she has wanted to work with animals "since she could talk" and began her career in 2011.  We were fortunate to have Devin join the West Salem Veterinary Clinic in January of 2016 and apply her skills towards helping our patients. Her favorite part of work, she says, is helping patients and clients through difficult moments and being present to help ease any hurt.  She is patient, gentle and caring with all the patients that come in each day.

Devin is married to Marcus and has one son Rowan, born in 2013.  Her other housemates include Pepperjack, a boxer, and two cats, Batman (a pancreatic insufficiency cat) and Tatu (a surrendered cat that is an amputee). She is also a backyard chicken enthusiast.

When Devin has time to herself she enjoys the outdoors, especially the woods and river, reading, writing, and drawing.

Client Testimonial

Our pets quickly become members of our families, right? The care that Kix received was exceptional. We were kept informed throughout the procedure and during all prior appointments. Talk about compassionate care during a stressful time. Thanks!
